Prepare Your Business For The Holidays

You probably ready my blog title like huh? Keenya, it’s September! The truth is, thats exactly the reason you need to make sure that you are prepared.

Here’s the thing, during the holidays your audience is going to be distracted with so many things. Everyone that has anything to sell will be pulling on your audience and the last thing you want to have happen is that not only do you miss taking advantage of the big “buying season,” but, financially preparing for a potentially slow 3 months.

Although people begin spending more money during October 1st – January 1st, they are spending money on things they want more than on the things that they need.

Let me share a story with you.

Right before I left my job our company Sprint was preparing for the holiday season where we knew that decision makers that could approve of major changes with the companies mobile devices would be on vacation and not making major decisions until January, we began to brace ourselves for a slower season, our goals were reduced and we had to increase our marketing strategies to just stay afloat.

When I launched my business, I started making plans BEFORE we began selling our services to have major financial months so that in November and December when sales were down that our company would still be successful because we knew that things would shift, because they ALWAYS DO!

Sure more people are at the mall making purchases, but ask yourself this question:

Is what I am selling on the top of Christmas lists this year? If the answer is yes, then you are going to do amazing during the holiday season. If the answer is no, then you need to prepare RIGHT NOW!!

I’m not sharing any of this to scare you, but to help you to prepare for what you desire and not what you end up with.
