Positioning To Prosper

It’s almost 2020, can you even believe it? Today I was at an appointment and the lady said, “Can you believe its almost 2020?”  I replied, “NO!” I mean we all knew that this day was going to come, but goodness when it actually arrives it feels a bit surreal. With that being said, I wanted to ask you, “Are you ready for 2020?”

When I say ready, I am asking if you have positioned yourself to prosper in:

  • Life
  • Business
  • Relationships
  • Health
  • Spirituality

If your answer is no, know that that is ok, but you can do so TODAY!

I recorded a podcast episode to help you with positioning your business to prosper, but I also want to help you as it pertains to your life.

The best thing you can do for yourself in each area of your life is:

  1. Take a look at your entire year…. the year of 2019. Assess what went well and what went not so well. Now, you are going to have to be brutally honest with yourself. Its easy to say that the entire year was awful or that you were so perfect with everything, but in order to be able to truly grow in 2020 and beyond, you have to be honest. Make a 2-sided list and do bullet points, but make sure you don’t just lavish yourself in criticism, give yourself a lot of credit. If you are having a hard time with either side of the list, ask a few trusted friends. They will surely be able to highlight some things for you.
  2. PRAY! Ask God how did he see your year. Ask him about the successes and growth areas you had in 2019. It’s important that you gain a heavenly prospective on everything and not just an earthly one. I guarantee you, God is going to have so many great things to say to you that no one could have even thought of to share with you.
  3. Take a look at the last 5 years of your life in each of these areas and assess, which of these things are you constantly progressing in and then those that you seem to be at a standstill. I don’t want you to focus solely on the negative because that can be depressing, BUT you must seriously evaluate it and make a plan for change.
  4. If seeing a professional is going to help you, then BOOK A SESSION. There is absolutely ZERO shame in admitting that you need help. I see my counselor every single month and have ZERO shame about it and I am constantly encouraging others to do the same. Working with a professional can help you see patterns and blind spots & offer you tools that will help you along your journey. When I was battling with my self worth and going round and round in circles I could’t see certain things. But when I asked her to help me, it all became super clear!!!

There are many other things you can do in all areas of your life, but these are the main one that I do for myself and with my clients when they truly desire change in these areas.

Don’t beat yourself up if you are not where you desire to be, because the truth is, if you are honest, you are not where you use to be either.
