We all know that TikTok is pushing out content like crazy and I want to make sure that when you’re getting the views, that you’re also actually getting the dollar signs that come along with it.
So if you’re looking to learn how to sell your stuff on, whether it be physical products or digital products, I’m here to show you how to do it.
One of the things to understand about the Tik Tok platform is that a lot of people still think that it’s just about being goofy and doing these funny different things.
And even though I do some of those goofy, funny things, my intention is to always make sure that I’m getting attention on my account in a creative way so that way I can drive them to my products and services…
And therefore, I am able to increase revenue.
In the end, the videos are a channel for you to get in front of an audience, but if you don’t have a product or service to sell them, then it doesn’t do you any good..
Because one of the worst things you can do is just focus on growing a following on Tik Tok and not necessarily selling your products and services. I don’t know about you, I’d rather have $1,000,000 in the bank than a million followers on TikTok any day. I’m just saying so let’s go back…
Firstly, you have to make sure that you have a business of some sort. You know what your product is going to be, what you’re going to be offering and all the things. Because once you know what that is, then it’s going to be easy to sell the product…
For example, I teach Tik Tok to female coaches and course creators. Why? Because that is my target audience. That is who I want to target. That is who I want to sell to.
Sometimes, I typically market our products and services without even talking to them, it’s typically a female course creator that comes to us.
This is only possible because we know how to get to them, how to target them on social media, how to do all those things so that we’re not just spraying and praying and hoping that somebody buys from us.
I know that not everyone out there will be my ideal customer, but I also want to make sure to reach those who are, and this means getting to know them, right?
So I start looking for answers to these questions:
- What does my ideal customer look like?
- Where do they hang out online?
- What kind of content are they consuming?
- Who are the people that they’re following?
- And what kind of problems do they need solving?
- How much are they willing to spend to get those problems solved?
It’s not about saying, “I only want people who have this much money,” it’s about making sure that we’re able to sell to those who are willing and able to actually buy what we have to offer.
Once your business ideas are clear, here’s ways on how you can sell your products & Services on TikTok.
- Well, the number one way you can sell, whether you are on the platform or off the platform is in your bio. You want to make it clear of who you are, what you are offering. Why? Because you’re trying to tell the person that came to your account, “This is who you are, this is who you serve, how you serve them”
Remember you have to create the path for them to follow.
- Do you want to sell? > Send them to your catalog
- Do you want to get them on a call with you? > Send them to book that call.
- You want to get them on your email list? Put in there, “Sign up for my newsletter”
Whatever it is, make it easy for them to follow through and take the action that you want them to take.
Please, make sure that when they click there that it’s taking them somewhere specific.
- Video marketing is here to stay. The second way that you are able to sell on TikTok is in your actual videos. This doesn’t mean try to sell every single video that you make. What I am saying is that you can be creative in the ways that you’re actually selling.
For example you can directly sell on the video, but sometimes you can do it through product placement or passively selling.
This means that the video is the board where you can display what it is that you’re offering without actually saying it.
In my case I make sure to place my book in most of my videos so that way even if I’m not talking about it people will still be like:
“Oh, she wrote a book.”
And then they go and check it out because they’re curious.
The same goes if let’s say you sold cell phone cases, right?
You want to make sure that your phone has the most beautiful case, the top-selling one.
So that way they’re seeing you, they’re hearing you, but they’re also seeing your product case on display!
And you may find people in the comments saying, where did you get that case? Why did you get that case?
And that case is the link that’s in your bio. And the calling is for them to buy it.
Let’s go further, let’s say you have 20 different cases on your website.
Well, because they are already on your page you can show them all the options you have, they might even find something they like more.
And you might find yourself selling more than just one case to that person.
- Last but not least, should you live stream to get sales? My answer is a massive YES!
TikTok pushes out videos on the for you page. They notify your followers that you’re live. Live can be extremely helpful to engage with your audience in a more personal way
Coming back to the case scenario, what live stream also does is give people an opportunity to ask questions.
- “Is it durable?”
- “Is this is the plastic?””
- Does it work on an iPhone 12?
Did you know that the average person gets in contact with the product about 5 – 7 times before deciding to purchase it?
Live Streaming allows you to do that on the spot and in real time!
And guess what?
This is so important because people make decisions based on emotions. And when you’re able to connect with them and answer those questions they might say,
“You know what? I want it.”
So those are my top three ways for you to be a bestseller on TikTok, which is in your bio, in your video, and on Tik Tok Live.
