How to Grow Your Business on Reels

When Instagram first rose to popularity in 2010, it was mainly known as a site for duck-lipped selfies and grainy-filtered photos. But as it has grown, it’s clear that Instagram is a powerful tool for business. Many have built entire careers on the app alone! In case you hadn’t realized by now, every new addition to the app should be seen as a business opportunity. Take Instagram Stories for example, which gives businesses the ability to direct customers straight to their products. While Instagram has offered the video option for a while now, a new exciting feature has been revealed as of last month. Introducing Reels, a new addition to the app that allows users to share 15-second clips, complete with fun effects and trending hits and audios. I myself am a huge fan of Reels, with many of my videos enjoying massive success! Not sure where to get started? I want to share a few of my best tips with you on how to grow your business on Reels. And even better, I’m offering a limited time course, Reels for Beginners, to help take you and your business to the next level!   1. Be yourself. As corny as it sounds, it’s 100% true. While social media is a great way to get connected and learn new things, it is also a breeding ground for insecurity. Many creators have felt pressured to “fit the mold” and become carbon copies of each other. Authenticity is hard to come by these days- and trust me, audiences can see right through a try-hard influencer. Focus on what feels true to you, and the right people will follow.    2. Show off a little! The great thing about Reels is that its videos cycle throughout the Reels explore page. So by sharing content that effectively showcases your product, you are more likely to reach a bigger audience than if you were to post a regular video directly to your page.    3. Set the mood.  With Reels, making product videos without computer software or a camera crew is now easier than ever! Using just your phone and Reel’s sound features can really add to the niche of your brand. For example, brands like Sephora and Louis Vuitton have used dreamy, seductive music to really emphasize the femininity of their companies. Similarly, “edgier” companies like Red Bull have taken advantage of trap and bass-heavy audios to play up their brands.   4. Invest in your business. Simply by purchasing props that can easily be found online can add depth and dimension to your Reels. Consider looking into a tripod for your phone or camera, a backdrop for a more professional background, some lights, and maybe a few lenses for a unique camera angle!   Interested in learning more? That’s where I come in! For a limited time only, I’m offering a comprehensive mini-course to help you dominate Reels. Come join me on Reels for Beginners, and take your business to the next level!
